The Linkage Arm Upgrade Kit replaces the existing linkage arms that connect the Plunge Lever Arm to the the Template Holder Support Post. This new Linkage Arm system is now included in all new PantoRouter® Packages. Our goal with this upgrade was to increase stability and rigidity in the Plunge Lever Arm when moving the pantograph carriage in and out. This is achieved by replacing the existing cotter pins with high tolerance shoulder bolts and locking hardware as well as incorporating a hinge block to provide a flat surface at the pivot locations. With these changes, we are able to introduce a small amount of resistance into the plunging action while maintaining a sturdy feel to the handle and minimize lateral movement.

Important Note - Read Before Purchasing

In an effort to make all new products backwards compatible with all PantoRouters® made from 2015 to present day, there are two versions of the Linkage Arm Upgrade Kit. Customers who purchased their machines between 2018 and 2026 have a smooth Plunge Lever Arm without full length T-slots. Customers who purchased their machines between 2015 and 2018 have an extruded Plunge Lever Arm with full length T-slots, this model requires two hinge blocks and shorter linkage arms. Please confirm what style Plunge Lever Arm is on your machine and select the appropriate kit from the drop down menu prior to adding it to your cart.
